I bought these cables to hook up my parents' HDTV to their Verizon Fios. The HDMI cable that was provided by Verizon did not come close to providing the true HD quality of the signal. These cables were miraculous. It was an easy set-up and when we saw the difference in the picture, we were all blown away.
Not sure of the brand, but pretty sure I got previous ones from Walmart. The Monster cable makes the colors much more vibrant.I ordered the Monster cable from ProCablesDirect for about $18. I bought this cable to see if I could improve the picture of a Sony DVD player that I have linked to a 27" trinitron. There is a noticeable improvement in the picture over the previous component cable that I was using. Got them in 2 days. Very pleased.
I have a Sony XBR5 and the picture is awesome with these cables. Works perfectly and worth every penny. Item just as described. I have tried others that dont look as well, but were cheaper. It DOES make a difference on what cables you buy no matter what other people say. The ones that cant see a difference arnt using it on top of the line products. You get what you pay for. If you are willing to spend $5000+ on a TV then pony up the bucks for the good cables to match.
Needed a good cable run behind the wall, works great, no problems yet. Cost too much anywhere else.
I got these component cables to upgrade my A/V system upon the arrival of my brand new 37" Sharp Aquos and I must say that they are very well worth the price tag. Monster quality is real and I am sticking to this brand for all my analog cable needs (where you really need shielding, gold plating and sturdy construction to avoid signal loss). The image difference in my DVD player went from washed out and faded (using composite) to a vivid array of colors and improved contrast. The cables are very sturdy and the connectors are color coded and ergonomically designed for comfortable gripping while connecting them to your TV and receiver or output device. My TV also has HDMI input also. I have hooked up my computer screen to the HDMI input and I must say that as far as color luminance and brilliance these component cables can rival HDMI.
